2014 marks yet another year for the London Book Fair, held at the Earls Court Exhibition Center. A place where industry professionals and book-lovers alike will gather, the fair is due to run over a period of three days in the middle of April. As a celebration of the ‘Korea Market Focus’ at the fair, the KCCUK will be holding the ‘K-Lit : Taking It’s Place on Korean Wave’ in conjunction with the British Council.
BBC journalist and broadcaster, Samira Ahmed, will chair the event which will aim to focus on the rising interest in the new wave of Korean Literature. It will explore what makes Korean Literature so interesting and also the developments and themes within it. The announced panellists include; Jeong Chan (author of ‘Two Lives’ and ‘Pilate’s Jesus’); Emma Francis (Editor at Short Books); and Dr. Grace Koh (Lecturer in Korean Literature at SOAS, University of London). These panellists will come together for a panel discussion, which will be followed by a reception at the end of the event.
