For this weeks ‘Friday Foods’ we check out how to make Korean fried chicken! Keep reading to find out how.

Ingredients:

– 15-20 chicken wings
– vegetable oil
– 2 cloves garlic
– 1 ginger
– 3 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1/2 cup flour
– 1 tbsp cornstarch
– water
– 1 tbsp sugar
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– 4 tbsp chili paste
– half a lemon

Step 1: Into a food processor, add in the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, sugar, sesame oil, chili paste and the juice of half a lemon. Blend until a smooth puree.

Step 2: In a bowl, whisk the flour and cornstarch with water. Add in the chicken, and toss until fully coated.

Step 3: Add oil into a fryer and cook the chicken until golden, for approximately 8-10 minutes.

Step 4: Drain the chicken, then return to the fryer to cook chicken until it is crispy, for another 8-10 minutes.

Step 5: Drain again. Toss chicken into puree sauce until fully coated, then you are ready to serve.
