HelloVenus have been promoting recently amongst the current explosion of summer comebacks this July with their catchy dance number song ‘I’m ill’.
The girl group, formerly under Pledis Entertainment, now under the Fantagio label company debuted in 2012 with the song ‘Venus’. At the time, the members consisted of Yoo Ara, Yoonjo, Alice, Nara, Lime and Yooyoung. However, as of 2015 due to the split between the two companies (Fantagio & Pledis) the latter’s artists Yoo Ara and Yoonjo returned back to Pledis to pursue other paths in the industry. These two members were later replaced by Seoyoung and Yeoreum.
After their debut in 2012, they were nominated for a selection of awards such as ‘Best New Female Artist’ and ‘Artist of the Year’ from the notable well-known MAMA awards show, ‘Best Rookie’ from the Seoul Music Awards. In 2013, they won the ‘Newcomer Award (Female Award)’ from Gaon Chart K-pop Award!
