You may remember last month’s announcement of a DOK2 and THE QUIETT show in London. Sadly the show sold out in impressive time, but there is still the chance to see the rappers in action, even if you’re on a budget!
The duo will be playing a show in Paris (17th) and in Berlin (21st), but it is the Madrid show we’d suggest you check out if you’re cash strapped after Christmas.
Hosted by London’s Cult of Ya, the team behind the B-Free & Okasian showcase in November and the upcoming OG Maco London Rage show, Currency Exchange Show #2 will showcase the talent of Illionaire Record’s Dok2 and The Quiett in four European tour stops.
Dok 2 and The Quiett are immensely successful, noted as being some of South Korea’s best true to form rappers.
The pair co-founded Illionaire Records in 2011, the company later signing Beenzino. Illionaire has long been associated with Jay Park and AOMG, and MNET rap talent contents Show Me The Money, the pair having mentored Bobby in the third season.
Disappointed you didn’t grab tickets to the London show?
Madrid could be the answer. The show is at Shoko Madrid, a Japanese restaurant by day, and a popular club by night.
With show tickets costing €22.50 (Less that £20 including booking fee, double for Meet & Greet tickets too) this show is exceptionally well priced, meaning more money left over to travel to Madrid.
From most of the UK’s major airports you can get to madrid in February for as little as £40, and if you make the most of hostels, or sites such as Airbnb your trip could end up costing you less than £100! For those who don’t live in London this is probably far less than you’d pay to see the UK show.
Dok2 and The Quiett are set to be joined by The Illustrious One, and other guest artists may be announced.
The show is understandably 18+, meaning you may have your ID checked at the venue. Tickets must have the name of the attendee on them, so be sure to buy your tickets only from the official sellers (see link at the bottom of the page) – this is also important information for those still hoping to grab London tickets from those unable to attend. Reselling tickets is only authorised through Resident Advisor and if you buy from anyone else you risk being denied admission to the show.
