Park Bo Ram is a female solo singer that debuted in 2014 under MMO Entertainment. She was a contestant on Mnet talent show ‘SuperStar K2’ back in 2010. She came in at 8th place and signed with Jellyfish Entertainment before moving to MMO.

In the 4 years between her time on the talent survival show and her debut, Bo Ram recorded songs for a few drama soundtracks, including SBS’ 2011 series ’49 Days’, and appeared in Hong Dae Kwang’s music video for ‘Thank You My Love’. She also undertook a significant physical transformation during these years as a result of weight loss and general maturation.

So far, Bo Ram has released one EP entitled ‘Celepretty’ and 4 singles. She had collaborated with a few other artists including Block B’s Zico, Lee Hyun and Park Kyung. She has also appeared in some other artists’ music videos for the aforementioned Hong Dae Kwang, Natthew and Mamamoo. She also made a cameo appearance in Mnet’s 2015 drama ‘Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra’ along with some of her fellow ‘SuperStar K’ contestants.

As well as contributing to many drama series soundtracks (including for 2010’s ‘Playful Kiss’ and 2015’s ‘Reply 1988’), Bo Ram has been a guest on various variety programmes such as ‘Hello Counsellor’, ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ and ‘King of Masked Singer’.

Park Bo Ram has a very girly and sweet style, which is something you see a fair amount of lately concept-wise. However, what may set her apart from others is her vocals – she is a great singer and her tracks showcase a natural and almost acoustic sound. This is quite refreshing if you are used to the electro, synth-pop sounds that are fairly common on the K-Pop scene. A lot of her songs radiate a happy vibe that makes you smile and bop your head along, and her ballads are full of emotion.
