The first week of August has just passed and there’s been plenty of K-Pop releases so far that have proven to be popular on the UK iTunes chart, such as JB and Jinyoung from GOT7 making their return as the duo sub-unit JJ Project, WINNER and Girls’ Generation!
Following the success from the first season of Produce 101, there was a green light given for another season to be produced. All the members from this rookie boy group had undergone the emotional rollercoaster of being contestants on the competition programme and were eventually chosen by the Korean public who would take the eleven places during the finale of the show.
Upon the release of the album ‘1×1=1 (To Be One)’ which contains 5 tracks, the title song ‘Energetic’ shot up to #1 on the six major music charts and subsequently achieved an all-kill, which just shows just how popular the group are already. And now, they’ve scored #1‘s in 10 countries from Hong Kong, Philippines, Finland, Thailand and more! They’ve even reached success on the UK chart as WANNA ONE’s debut album has made an appearance at #46 which had risen from a previous rank at #52 as of August 7! Congratulations to WANNA ONE on a fruitful debut!
