At last, the girls of BlockBerry Creative have made their official group debut! LOONA are Haseul, Vivi, Yves, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Chuu, Heejin, Hyunjin, Go Won, Choerry, Olivia Hye and Yeojin. Have you seen their debut MV Hi High yet?
While most groups debut together then promote as subunits, LOONA did it the other way around. They first appeared in October 2016 with a solo single by Heejin. Solo tracks from each member were released every month since then, as well as songs by three subunits: LOONA ⅓, Odd Eye Circle, and yyxy. Apparently BlockBerry Creative invested a whopping $8.8 million into these extended debut promotions.
It’s been working – LOONA have been building a loyal following already on social media, with many of their fans trending the phrase ‘stan LOONA’ on twitter each time a new release or update appeared.
The electro-pop Hi High is on their debut EP titled [+ +]. The album features tracks including favOriTe, which also has its own MV.
