Another day, another ‘Gangnam Style’ article!

As each day passes, PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ MV on YouTube is gaining more and more views and it has now been acknowledged by Guinness World Records as the most ‘Liked’ in YouTube history.

The Guinness World Reocords Official site features a piece on the latest achievement by the K-pop star:

“‘Gangnam Style’, which has only been available to view since the 15th of July, has been ‘liked’ in excess of 2,141,758 times, making it the most liked video in YouTube history….’Gangnam Style’, [PSY’s] most successful single to date, is the most viewed K-Pop video on YouTube….This also marks the first time a South Korean artist has topped the iTunes charts.”

It seems that it’s not just PSY who is perplexed by the huge global success of his single.  The Guinness World Record Community Manager – Dan Barratt mentioned that this level of popularity online has been previously unheard of. However, he also stated that it was great to be able to award PSY the record for his achievements.

At the time of writing, ‘Gangnam Style’ has over 230m views and 2.3m likes on the video-sharing website.

I think a lot of K-pop fan’s are incredibly happy for the fun and energetic K-pop rapper!
