Welcome back to another Make-up review from United Kpop. Today, I am going to be looking at Etude House’s “Face Design Brightener”, which is basically the toughest way ever of saying it’s a highlighter. Let’s have a look!

The Face Design Brightener is available in 5 shades, and mine is #4: Goddess Face. The packaging is less extravagant and cute than many other Etude House products, with a beige lid, and a dark purple bottom. There is no brush with it, and I have found that it is best applied using a fluffy powder or blush brush. Inside the lid is a mirror that makes it perfect to bring along to touch up any make-up on the go.

The Goddess Face shade is a nice beige based colour, which gives a warm and nice glow, suitable for my warm toned skin and red hair. If you’re a colder type, I recommend rather going with one of the pink or white based ones.

I have been using this product religiously for about 4-5 months now, almost daily, and I still have plenty left. I have seen some reviews saying the powder has started caking after a while and needed to be scraped off, but I have personally not have any problems with this. I would however, make sure that the brush you use is always dry and clean, as moisture or an oily brush will cause caking to any product.

I haven’t found any flaws to this product worth mentioning, aside from the lack of a brush. The glow is easy to build and with a single stroke looks natural and light on the face. As it is a compact powder based product, it works better if your skin isn’t dry so as to not flake or dry the skin out more. If this is a problem you have, I recommend rather going for a cream based highlighter instead.

All in all, I would recommend this product to anyone who prefer compacts and powder based make-up. It is long lasting, easy to build to just how you like it, and perfect pocket size. The product is available through any Etude Shops, and can be found on E-Bay for approximately £6.  For me and my skin, it’s a 5/5.
