Soloist Eric Nam is up next on the Weekly Idol feature.
Korean American Nam Yoon Do aka Eric Nam is a soloist who has been under the label B2M Entertainment since September 2012. He began his music career through Youtube, uploading covers of popular songs such as Taeyang‘s Wedding Dress and Adele ‘s Someone Like You before being discovered by MBC who offered him to audition in Korea.
Eric then participated on the talent show Birth Of A Great Star 2 in December 2011, making it into the Top 5. His debut mini album “Cloud 9” was released in January 2013 with the leading single “Heaven’s Door.” In the same year, he began an ongoing MC role for Arirang‘s variety show After School Club which involves idols meeting their fans across the globe through Google hangouts.

Why I chose Eric Nam as Weekly Idol
I find Eric rather entertaining and when I first saw him as an MC on After School Club it took me a while to get used to how hyper he could be on the show. However this doesn’t detract his own talent. He shows he can sing and host a huge variety of tv shows or interviews. Add bilingual ability to the mix and you have quite the all-rounder.
