UP10TION are a 10 member male group that debuted under TOP Media late last year. TOP Media is owned by Shinhwa member Andy Lee and features other male groups Teen Top and 100%.
The 10 members are: Jinhoo (leader), Kuhn, Kogyeol, Wei, Bit-to, Wooshin, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Hwanhee and Xiao.
Despite their very short time being active as a group, they have already released two mini albums – entitled ‘Top Secret’ and ‘BRAVO!’ – and two music videos.
UP10TION have also hit the ground running when it comes to television programme appearances. The series ‘RISING! UP10TION’ is a great show for fans to start with, as it offers an introduction to all the members as they begin their journey in the very competitive K-Pop industry. During the series, you can see every individual’s personality begin to reveal itself as they partake in silly and fun games. They are even joined by their senior label mates Teen Top for some friendly competition and activity.
The boys have also made appearances on the programmes ‘Masked Rookie Competition’, ‘After School Club’ and ‘Weekly Idol’.
UP10TION have only had a very short while since their debut, but they have seemingly been received quite well both domestically and internationally. Their journey as a group has only just begun and they seem to be a group bursting with energy and enthusiasm. It will be interesting to see how these young, rookies develop as time goes on, and it would be great to see them find success in their collective future.
