Bolbbalgan4 (볼빨간 사춘기) is an indie female duo under Shofar Music. Their name means, ‘red-cheeked puberty’ or ‘Blushing Youth’ – the idea that they wanted to make music as pure as girls in puberty. The duo participated on Superstar K6 in 2014 and signed a contract with their current agency, but didn’t make their debut until 2016 with the release of their first mini album Red Ickle on April 22, 2016. On August 24, 2016 the duo released their first full-length album, Red Planet with eleven songs.
The team consists of two members: Jiyoung (lead vocal) and Jiyoon (guitar and sub-vocal). Listening to their songs will bring back memories of early spring, with lyrics that burst with boundless positivity. Not much is known about this duo, but I guess their lively music speaks for themselves, right? Not to mention the aesthetic that is their music videos.

Bolbbalgan4 also sang the OST for various K-dramas such as Hwarang, Ruler: Master of the Mask, Misaeng and Lost Tale.
