Former Wassup member Nada came back today with a sexy solo track composed by DK, Trippin’.

It’s the first solo Nada has released since leaving Wassup earlier this year. The hip-hop girl group Wassup debuted in 2013, and released two EPs featuring Nada, Nom Nom Nom and Showtime. She released her first mixtape Homework in 2014, and also appeared on Mnet’s rap show Show Me the Money 3.

In 2016 Nada was back on TV, in Mnet’s all-female rap show Unpretty Rapstar 3. She finished as the runner-up, but gained a lot more attention and praise from the show than her previous TV appearance.

Nada left Wassup early this year due to a legal dispute with her former agency, Mafia Records, over missing earnings from the show. Two other members also left the group over similar salary issues. Now she’s flying solo, it looks like we can expect to see more sides to her. As she told one interviewer: “I think my character is that you don’t know what to expect from me. I’m crazy one day, girly on another day, and tough on another day. I don’t change as a person, but I want my performances and genre to have variety. ‘What will she do today?’ is a question that I want the public to ask about me.”
