We’re already onto our second week of October, meaning that we’re getting closer to Halloween! Which then of course leads up to the festive period for the last two months of 2017 – where has the time flown?! You can find most of this week’s music releases below and let us know what your favourite comeback was from this week!
NU’EST W
The Pledis Entertainment boy group released their 1st Mini Album ‘W,Here‘ on October 10. They even went on to have their very first entry on the UK iTunes Album chart, peaking at #49! You can check out their M/V for ‘Where You At‘ below!
GOT7
This seems to be a special album for the JYP group, especially with the overall ‘7’ theme to further emphasis that each member is an integral part that makes GOT7. They released their 7th Mini Album ‘7 For 7’ on October 10, which also surprisingly carried on the concept by peaking at #7 on the main UK iTunes Album chart! You can check out the M/V for ‘You Are’ below!
TRCNG
The newest rookie boy group to hail from TS Entertainment dropped their debut album ‘New Generation’ on October 10. While the members still retain their youthful faces, it does contrast with the hard-hitting initial concept they’ve delivered. You can watch the M/V for ‘Spectrum‘ below.
Davichi
The duo released their digital single ‘To Me‘ on October 11, their dulcet vocals intertwined is always a delight to listen to. And with their latest track, it provokes a thoughtful kind of feeling from a first listen. You can see the lyric video below, which comprises of a selection of cartoon drawings that helps to illustrate the meaning behind the song.
Wooyoung
The 2PM singer returned as a soloist with his latest digital single ‘Still Here‘ on October 11. The instrumental reminds us of the soft melodies that you may come across in coffee shops, it’s the kind of song that makes you reminisce on the past. You can check out the M/V for ‘Still Here‘ below!
RAINZ
We have our second rookie boy group this week, with RAINZ releasing their Debut Mini Album ‘Sunshine’ on October 12. They may serve to be familiar faces, especially if you kept up with this year’s Produce 101 show as 7 contestants teamed up to form this group. You can see the M/V for their promotional title track ‘Juliette‘ which matches the groovy, upbeat dance track!
SF9
The freshly turned 1 year old group returned with their 3rd Mini Album ‘Knights of the Sun‘ on October 12. The cinematography of the video ‘O Sole Mio’ is interesting to watch, the title roughly translates from Italian to ‘Oh My Sun‘. The M/V looks like it has several references to the sun and possibly towards the mythology of King Arthur, the Round Table and his Knights.
MASC
The boy group made their comeback with their single album ‘Do It’ on October 12. The track implies that the boys are ready to prove themselves to their love in the lyrics. The M/V is colourfully vibrant and matches well with the groovy dance track, which you can watch below!
DIA
In this largely boy group dominated Release Round Up, we have our first girl group who released their 3rd Mini Album Repackage ‘Present‘ on October 12. DIA are back with this fresh track that works well with the change in seasons and you can check out their cute antics in the M/V for ‘Good Night‘ below!
UP10TION
And for our last group, UP10TION returned with their Special album ‘2017 Special Photo Edition’ on October 12. ‘Going Crazy‘ is the chosen title track for this comeback and captures their frustration imposed by the one they crave affection and love from. The boys all looked suave in their suit pieces in the M/V, which looks to relay traditional masculine tones.
Doyoung & Sejeong
To finish off, we’re looking at the newest addition to SM Station which comes in the form of ‘Star Blossom‘, a duet between NCT’s Doyoung and Gugudan’s Sejeong that was released on October 13. As to be expected, the vocals are exquisite to listen to and it’s great to see collaborations being done outside of SM artists! The pair certainly play quite the endearing couple in the M/V, which you can watch below!
