Red Velvet made their highly awaited return yesterday with the release of their 6th EP ‘Queendom‘. The 6th EP includes the standard six tracks, consisting of ‘Queendom‘, ‘Pose‘, ‘Knock on Wood‘, ‘Better Be‘, ‘Pushin’ N Pullin’‘ and ‘Hello, Sunset‘.

Following Wendy’s unfortunate accident at SBS’s Gayo Daejeon, the group’s last promotional track was ‘Psycho’ which was uploaded on December 2019. This would leave the group on an indefinite break for a year and a half, not including sub-unit and solo projects that were released to appease their fans.

While there are often fears how groups may perform after a break, Red Velvet was grandly welcomed back both on the South Korean charts by grabbing the top spot at #1 on the MelOn, Bugs and Genie charts. The success continued internationally, the EP reaching #3 in the UK, and #1 in Norway, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, France, Hungary, Netherlands, Spain and Ukraine. it’s been reported that the girl group had scored #1 on 50 iTunes charts.
