Blackpink is expected to make their Western debut in the first half of 2019.

NAVER released an article last night announcing YG’s plans to follow the growth of the US market. This growth, according to the article, aims to center on Youtube views and sound sources.

Blackpink currently have 543 million views for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and it is the 10th most-viewed online Youtube video in the first 24 hours. As for Jennie’s ‘SOLO’, the MV has racked up a whopping 115 million views, despit being released a month ago. It appears that they are on track to gain even more views.

If Blackpink debut in the US, this could see the UK to also pay attention to the girl group. They have already entered the UK Top 40 in June, and again with Dua Lipa last month.
