It’s time to get excited as EXID are about to ramp up the heat once again with their latest track, “ME&YOU”.
This comeback is a bittersweet moment as it will be the last album released by the girls under Banana Culture. After negotiations, Hani & Junghwa decided not to renew their contract and will be departing the company after promotions for this track. However, disbandment has not been confirmed and the group’s bond is indeed stronger than ever; something that was shown many times before during Solji’s hiatus from the group. With this in mind, it may be possible for the group to collaborate between labels to bring EXID back into full force.
After the huge success of “Up & Down” and the fabled viral performance, the group was seen as rising from what some would call “underrated” status to become a much loved group among the entertainment industry; known as fierce performers and bright personalities that shined through variety shows and sometimes comedic music videos.
Past music releases have grown to become anthems for many fans and with their latest hit; “I Love You” reuniting the full line-up, nothing is stopping the eccentric and sexy quintet from releasing more music in the future.
This album is a sweet yet fun parting gift before the group departs for a temporary hiatus; including a track produced by LE and writing contributions from all five members. Although the future may be in negotiation for a while, fans are not to lose hope as the group are striving to make this the best release for their fans who got them this far and to most importantly say thank you for the love and support.
