Hong Da-bin, better known by his stage name DPR Live, is known for his vivid, aesthetic and highly creative music videos courtesy of his team Dream Perfect Regime (shortened to DPR) and many collaborations with a variety of artists such as AOMG’s Jay Park and Loco, Yelows Mob’s Sik-K, Crush and Dean to showcase the versatility of his music.
It can be argued that LIVE was first seen through Eung Freestyle. Popularised through Youtube and even garnered the interest of Tyra Banks, this collaboration included LIVE, Sik-K, Punchnello, Owen Ovadoz and Flowsik.
LIVE released his debut album, Coming to You Live, on March 2017. With 7 tracks and various collaborations, LIVE and his creative crew at DPR also produced five music videos for five of the tracks.
DPR is an independent music and video production group. Their past work includes video production for Amber’s Borders, Eung Freestyle, Bobby’s HOLUP, Mino’s Body, and Loco’s Movie Shoot. The crew includes some familiar faces such as Director Christian Yu, formerly of boygroup C-Clown, Scott Kim and some new faces such as producer Cream, Assistant Director Kangun and Cline.
Most recently AOMG’s Loco released his first album, BLEACH, and collaborated with LIVE in a track called Movie Shoot – the music video of which is produced by DPR.
LIVE is very active on social media, particularly Instagram where he frequently chats with his fans through instalives. Having spent time in Guam and Saipan and with Christian Yu at his side, LIVE can be heard switching smoothly between Korean and English to cater to both his national and international fans.
So head over to Instagram and follow his music – who knows, you might just catch one of LIVE’s lives. (Get it?)
