It’s been only two weeks since rookie boy band A.C.E debuted but thanks to a memorable debut stage outfit and some solid dance moves, their MV views for Cactus are skyrocketing.
The five boys – Donghun, Jun, Wow, Jason and Chan – are with Beat Interactive. Two were previously trainees at JYP (Jason and Chan) and two came from CJ Entertainment (Jun and Wow). The boys’ debut live stage caused a stir as they danced in black booty shorts, showing off leg muscles aplenty.
However, the boys have been slowly building themselves a solid singing and dancing reputation for years. Jun appeared on I Can See Your Voice, and Jason was on Kpop Star 2. The entire group regularly performed tight BTS and EXO dance covers on the streets of Hongdae and already have over 150,000 YouTube subscribers as a result.
The choreography for Cactus was done by Lia Kim and Koosung from 1 Million Dance Studio. Lia Kim was the woman who choreographed Twice’s TT and Sunmi’s Full Moon, among many other K-pop hits. Jun, Wow and Chan have all featured in her dance studio’s vids before. Check them out with her here dancing to Maroon 5’s Don’t Wanna Know.
